Vijay Munshi

As an inspiring teacher and mentor to hundreds of management students, Vijay Munshi leads Pragati Leadership Institute as Vice President. For over fifteen years Vijay has diligently served his clients by imparting general management skills and helping them build a positive outlook. 

Vijay qualified himself with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in the year 1972 and later went on to acquire a post graduate degree in management from the coveted Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai in the year 1979. He served at TATA Motors Pune for a period of twenty years, serving as Divisional Manager (Human Resource) while he left in 2001.

Vijay operated industriously in his trade for almost thirty years, working largely in the areas of Industrial Engineering and Human Resources. He has successfully designed and implemented Performance Management Systems, Recruitment Systems, Motivational Schemes and Training & Development initiatives.

His clientele includes some of the most prestigious institutions, some of which are Tata Steel, Voltas, Merck Development, Sungard, Ranbaxy, BMC, Dabur, Iflex, etc. He has also conducted programmes in South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Dubai and Philippines.

Vijay has successfully completed ‘Situational Leadership Training’ conducted by Centre for Leadership Studies (USA). He is an RCS (Results Coaching Systems) Certified Coach.

Vijay also boasts of a creative side. A truly gifted poet he is and has also translated works in Hindi and English with six published collections. He is associated with Sahitya Akademi, Delhi (National Academy of Letters).
